About the Artists
Stephanie (aka Lauren) - loves box-cutters, ancient buttons, and crusty lace.
A deconstructionist at heart, Lauren often spends her time dissembling messes of objects in order to rearrange their, well, order to suit her fancy. She was inspired at a very young age by the old people’s things and times’ way of shoving them into dark corners. In light of the new re-purposing material craze, Stephanie Lauren has redirected her creative efforts to reflect the hype that has finally caught up with her mode of making.
Jess (aka Giggles) - loves finding insanely introspective moments in landscape, old wooden ships, ghost stories and desserts.
While trying to find the correlation between the physical and the metaphysical it became necessary to visually document her inner reactions to the knowledge she was perceiving. Jessica’s work explores catalysts and their impact; occurring on a microscopic level. However the translation from concept into visual metamorphoses into macroscopic themes of abstract landscape.
